Abstract
The present study aimed at testing the utility of anti-idiotypic antibodies (RAb2) from sera of rabbits multiply immunized with UV-attenuated cercariae (VRS), to protect against Schistosoma haematobium infection. VRSwas found to recognize several shared bands among SCAP,SSAP,SWAP and SEA. SWAP showed the highest number of shared antigens with SSAP and the lowest with SEA. One major antigenic band of about 22 KDa was found unique to SCAP and SSAP and completely absent in SWAP and SEA.
