Abstract
The purpose of this research is to study in detail the types of the forms of cytochrome P-450 induced by phenobarbital in the liver of 2, 8 and 22 month-old animals. Previous studies have indicated that with increasing age, there is a decrease in the ability of phenobarbital to ind-uce cytochrome P-450 in the liver. In these studies, a decrease in the amount of cytochrome P-450 induced in livers of 22 month-old animals was observed.
