Abstract
This study was aimed to evaluate the fertility and diagnose and treat infertility in male Baladi bucks. This study was carried out on ten Baladi bucks, aged 2 years, semen samples were collected and evaluated, reaction time was recorded and ultrasonographic imaging was performed. Blood samples were drawn weekly, sera were obtained from each buck and testosterone was estimated. Infertile bucks were treated by weekly injection of 4µg buserelene intramuscular. In Normal bucks, reaction time averaged 15.7 sec, Ejaculate volume averaged 0.81 ml, Sperm cell concentration averaged 5.49 x109/ml, Total sperm output per ejaculate averaged 4.45 x109, Mass motility score averaged 3.65, Individual motility averaged 68.96%, Live ratio of spermatozoa averaged 78.66% and Sperm cell abnormalities averaged 5.61%. All treated bucks recovered their sexual desire within two months and had no significant difference in reaction time or semen picture in comparison to normal bucks.
