Abstract

This study was designed to evaluate histological, histochemical and radio-graphical evaluation of the dual effect of strontium ranelate on mandibular defect healing in diabetic rats in comparison to normal rats.48 adult male Albino rats weighting (250-300g) were divided into 2 groups control and diabetic. Based on the previous results we conclude that, administration of strontium ranelate in normal and diabetic rats with mandibular bone defect leads to improvement of bone healing in normal rats while it had a little effect on diabetic bone healing.
