Abstract The present study was carried out in the Fish Hatchery, AI-Manzalah Complete Fish-Farm, Dakahliah, The General Authority for Fish Resources Development, Ministry of Agriculture, during the 1998 hatching season. Broodstock Nile tilapia (Oerochromis niloticus) weighed 50 - 100 g (according to the sex) were stacked in fiberglass tanks (1 x 1 x0.45 m) at a ratio of 2 females: 1 male. Each tank was filled with 300 I water for 4 females + 2 males. The fishes were adapted for 4 weeks, thereafter were given dietary supplementation of vitamin C (Vit. C) or vitamin E (Vit. E) or their combinations at three intervals. Nine treatments (T) (each of 2 replicates) in a factorial design (2 x 3) were conducted during the 1st (40 day), 2nd (33 day), and 3’• (55 day) intervals. During which , high, no, and low levels of the dietary supplemented vitamins were offered in complete pelleted diets (24% crude protein). |
