Abstract In this thesis, the iteration method is used to find a relation between the functional defining some physical parameters in particle transport theory and pade’ approximants. It is proved that the functional pade’ approximant is equivalent to higher order variational principles. Illustrative examples, in radiative transfer and reactor physics, are solved to show the applicability of the pade’ approximant technique. |
