Abstract In this thesis the Legendre Pade’ approximants is used for the elastic scattering problem using the optical potential. The angular distribution of the elastic scattering cross-section using Legendre Pade’ approximants is formulated. The Wood-Saxon optical potential is used. Calculations are performed for different nuclear reactions at different energies. Comparisons between the calculations done by Pade’ approximants and that done by the partial wave sum indicate that fast convergence is obtained by Legendre Pade’ approximants. |
