Abstract The computation process of the Oncology Support System (OSS) planning system installed in Mansoura University Hospital is based on Van de Geijn models for photon beams [1-5]. While the dose calculation models of electron beams are based on Fermi-Eyges multiple scattering theory [5]. The aim of this study is the examination of accuracy of these models to calculate the dose distributions for 6 and 10 MV photon beams and for 6,10 and 15 MeV electron beams of Philips SL-15 linear accelerator. |
