Abstract
The thesis contains mainly four chapters, concerned with the measurements of the natural radioactivity levels in some environmental areas East of Nile-Delta. The area under study are : (a) Some Geziras (Sand-Islands)known as ”Turtle Backs” (b) Bahr El - Baqar Drain (c) Some ancient settlements (Tell El-Ruba and Timai). The activity concentrations in (Bq/Kg) and the contents in (ppm) of the naturally occuring radionuclides 238U, 232Th and 40K in the collected samples were obtained.
