المستخلص The current study aims at: Analyzing the requirements of two educational programs to develop the basic skills needed for studying the computer networks curriculum , Designing and producing two programs using network based simulations (network based simulation program vs. network based simulation program along with educational activities that depend on retrieval strategies [rehearsal and organization]) , Reaching the best simulation program inside the website that suits retrieving style of the learner (organization vs. rehearsal) because its effect on perceiving concepts and efficacy of learning. Research Tools : Tools of experimental manipulation (scenario – website) , Measurement tools: standard of cognitive strategies related to retrieve , understanding scientific concepts test (verbal – visual) prepared by researcher. Research Results : 1-There is a statistical difference at (0.05) between the average grades of the students of the two subject groups that are exposed to treatment using network based simulation programs (simulation program that doesn’t contain activities vs. simulation program that contain activities) in relation to perceiving the concepts and learning efficiency of computer networks curriculum in favor of the simulation program with activities. 2-There is a statistical difference at (0.05) between the average grades of the students of the two subject groups in learning efficiency of the curriculum of computer networks due to the main effect of difference in the style of the learner’s retrieve strategy (rehearsal vs. organization) in favor of the regulative students in the style of retrieve strategy. 3-There is a statistical difference at (0.05) between the average grades of the students of the two subject groups in understanding the concepts and learning efficiency of computer networks curriculum due to the main effect of the difference in the interaction between the two manipulations of the two simulation programs available through the network (simulation program without activities vs. simulation program with activities) and the learner’s retrieve strategy (rehearsal vs. organization) in favor of the simulation program with activities. |
