Abstract

Remove crop residues from fields comes one of the most critical problems in Egypt. The Egyptian farmer burn yearly about 3.9 million tons of rice straw and cotton stalk for vacating the field to prepare the seedbed for next crop. The most rice area was harvested mechanically specially by combine machine. Using the cutting unit, which may be connected with rice combine (Kubota machine) cut rice straw and regularity distributed on soil surface to profit it as a source of organic manure direct in soil after mixed it with soil . Soil organic matter considered mean source of soil fertility because it provide plants with nutrients, energy for micro-organisms and soil fauna. It also enhances a stable and friable soil structure that increased aeration, water holding capacity, improved root development, nutrient uptake decline in soil erosion and nutrient leaching losses. Decomposing cutting rice straw needs approximately 5-6 months by soil microorganisms. The amount of nitrogen in soil is not sufficient for the activity of microorganisms, Therefore must add the decomposition enzyme of rice straw or a booster dose of urea fertilizer to overcome this problem. This study was conducted to develop a unit to add the organisms and enzymes and three tillage systems ( Conventional tillage, Intensive tillage and Conservation tillage) The results showed increasd in wheat Crop yield from 15.6% - 25.9% and rice crop yield from 15.9% to 27% with decreased the chemical fertility from 33% to 66% for one redden in all tillage system .
