The Problem of study was to identify the relationship between the uses of Egyptian university students of the Internet and between the levels of alienation they have. The dissertation has been divided for a number of chapters, and sections to achieve its objectives. First is the methodological frame: which included the introduction to the study, the previous studies, the problem of the study, study objectives, study questions, and hypothesizes, and finally the concepts of the study. Followed by the first chapter: which presents through its four sections of the theories that explain the use of the Internet, the uses and gratifications approach, and social presence and social identity theories as a theoretical and interpretation of the study. The second chapter includes: two sections addressed the Internet as a communication medium in terms of its technological nature, then its effects on the individual and society levels. The third chapter: deal with the alienation concept, and its dimensions, how to measure alienation, and its relationship to students using the Internet through the three sections of this chapter. The fourth Chapter: deal with the methodological procedures that were followed in conducting the field study in its first section, in the second section the general results of the study, and the third section presents the results of tested relations between the variables of the study. In the end of the study was a conclusion: included a summary of the results, and recommendations.
