Abstract

The current research was directed to study the effect of some fungicides with or without boric acid and wax on fruit decay, weight loss percentage, juice volume, T.S.S, acidity, vitamin C content and total sugars in Valencia fruit during storage period fo six weeks in two successive seasons 1993 and 1994. The fruits were stored at room temperature 25C and air humidity about 75% in research laboratory of pomology department, Fac. Of Agric., Mansoura university.
The obtained results could be summarized as follows :
a- Effect on fruit decay percentage during storage period :
1. The lowest decay percentage was recorded with treatments 14 (TBZ at 2000 ppm + wax), T 13 (TBZ at 1000 ppm + Imazolil + wax) T 3 (TBZ at 1000 ppm + wax) and T7 (TBZ at 2000 ppm + wax)
