Abstract
It aimed to know the optimum date of planting the highest leaf, oil and seed yields.
For this, eight planting dates were tried at two weeks in trravel and arrenged in two seasons.The first three ere in autumn and started the 21th . of October , while the other five in spring starting in 6th .of February .
The leaf and seed yields were determined as well as their characteristics.The physical and chemical properties of the oil from various dates in addition to its concentration and contact were studied by appropriate methods.
The results were as follow :
1-The tallest plants up till full bloom were from planting in the sixth of February.
2-The highest fresh and dry weight of the plant, stems and leaves were obtained from 6 February and the lowest from 20 November planting.
3-The dry leaf yield /fed. Produced by 6 February planting dates was the highest and amounted 100.5 kg./ Fadden, while was low as 255.8 kg. from the 20 Nv. date.
