Abstract
Some new derivatives of furocoumarins were synthesized by construction of furan ring on the benzene ring of coumarin and photochemical studies were occurred on some of them. The new derivatives are 2,3,5 – trimethyl – 7H – furo [3,2-g] chromen – 7 – one , 5 – methyl – 3 – phenyl – 7H – furo [3,2 – g] chromen – 7 – one , 2,3,8 – trimethyl- 6H – furo [ 2,3 – g ] chromen – 6 – one , 1,2,9 – trimethyl – 7H – furo [ 3,2 – f ] chromen – 7 – one , 9 – methyl – 1 – phenyl – 7H – furo [ 3,2 – f ] chromen – 7 – one , 2,3,4,9 – tetarmethyl – 7H – furo [ 2,3 – f ] chromen – 7 – one and 4,9 – dimethyl – 3 – phenyl - 7H – furo [ 2,3 – f ] chromen – 7 – one.
