Abstract The present work deals with the effect of maternally treated acrylamide and maternally feed on fried potatoes chips litters on developmental stages of body weight, soft palate, tongue and intestine. SEM observations and LM observation of Soft palate retardation of soft palate development including delaying formation of taste buds were markedly proceeding in one week old pups maternally treated with acrylamide and fed on fried potatoes chips. As well as malformation of taste buds growth and abnormal distribution of blood vessel were observed SEM observations and LM observation of tongue revealed considerable reduction of lingual keratinization. The stratification pattern of both filliform and fungiform papillae showed apparent degeneration of their cellular elements including vacuolar degeneration and pyknotic cell death. The outermost cells showed apparent cell loss. The lingual muscles were distorted and degenenerated. Leukocytic infiltrations were abundant in between the lingual muscles. Lacked ordinary structures including deformation and reduction of keratinized surfaces in both filliform and fungiform papillae in the all stages, 1,2,3 & 4 week-old. In intestine In newly born maternally fed on diet containing 50% fried potatoes chips, there was a marked loss of many of the supranuclear vacuoles as well as focal degenerative spots of lining epithelial cells. The size and depth of the villi were altered. In newly born maternally received acrylamide-treatment, there was a marked loss of villar structure including reduction of size and degenerative lesions in different parts of the lining epithelial cells. Few numbers of goblet cells are detected after alcian blue staining. Acrylamide-treatment exhibited the highest dramatic lesions including swollen of the villi and abundant degenerative lesions of their lining cells. Few numbers of goblet cells were detected post . |
