Kalila and Dimena” is a book characterized by providing methods of contetual cohesion depending on ways of analyzing the text; it relays on semantic patterns that have their own structure. Cohesion and coherence played a role in applying thecontextual cohesion, as being part of the seven contextual criteria. They contribute in adhering the text’s parts, making them closely joined together. This took place by using semantic relations and tools leading to contextual continuation. They drive the reader to the essence and content of the text. At the end, the final output is a message that could be interacted and understood by the reader. This case study consists of a preface, introduction, two chapters and anepilogue. Each of the stated chapters contains three sections, a finding, a reference list and the resources used by the researcher. The case study of “Kalila and Dimena” aims at increasing recognition with the contextual linguistic theory. Also, it consolidates recognition by analyzing a translated narrative text. This study adopts a practical procedureto clarify the visible and semantic tools which contribute to achieving cohesion within the text’s internal issues. The study has reached several resultsincluding one that shows the text discipline as the best method for documenting the connections between the text, Quran and other branches of the Arabic language. Moreover, the cohesion patterns have been accomplished in each and every story of the book. This leads to an attached text, not a separate group of narrative texts. The importance of coherence is apparent in the way of understanding the contextual cohesion, besides reaching the entire structure of the text by cutting it down into minor divisions
