Abstract Chemical composition and the biological benefit of artichoke bracts and its extracts were studied . Results of the a proximate analysis revealed that the moisture , total lipid , crude protein , total carbohydrate , total soluble sugars , reducing sugars , non reducing sugars , crude fiber and ash content were 84 % , 4.11 % , 21 % , 62.79 % , 44.29 % , 6.36 % , 12.14 % , 5.4 % and 6.7 % , respectively |
