Abstract
Scale insects cause considerable damage to citrus trees at Kafr El-8heikh region despite that they receive regular chemical control measurements. Therefore, this work was performed for the following objects; to estimate
the population dehs1ties and sex ratio of scale insects on different citrus hosts, to determine the natural enemies (parasites and predators) of scale insects, to study the host preference of the purple scale’s parasites to
the different stages of their host , to evaluate the natural control of the purple scale and factors affecting it. Finally the effects of road dust on the purple scale and its parasites were investigated. Three localities ; (Fowa , Beyala and Balttm) at Kafr EI-Sheikh governorate were chosen for the present work.
