Abstract
Spiral bacteria were originally observed in human tissue many years age, but early investigations to confirm these observations and to examine its significance yielding conflicting results. Therefore, these observations were ignored for many years untill the recent investigations of marshall and warren. Their findings were of revolutionary interest because they pointed to a significant association between the occurrence of gastritis.
