The main objective of this study is to compare between the impact of some communications media used in transferring the knowledge and mental skills in the field of advancement and maintenance of agricultural lands in some of Dakahlia Governorate villages. This objective has been realized achieving the following sub-objectives: 1. To know the level of knowledge of the farmers under this study which is related to the advancement and maintenance of agricultural land before and after projection of the used communications media. 2. To know the impact of communications media on the degree of knowledge related to the process of advancement and maintenance of agricultural land. 3. To determine the points of differences between the impact of the communications media on the degree of knowledge related to the advancement and maintenance of agricultural land. 4. To study the relationship between the impact of communications media on the degree of knowledge related to the advancement and maintenance of agricultural land and the independent factors related to the farmers of every group from the five experimental groups each by itself. 5. Evaluation of the com!nunications inedia from farmers point of view and their suggestions to increase its effectiveness. This study has Seen undertaken on three stages, the objective of the first phase was to define the knowledge and mental skills related to the process of advancement and. maintenance of agricultural lands and to prepare it through educational extension form which would be at the end the content which will be carried cut by the communications media to the farmers. This has been done under the supervision of specialised experts in the field of advancement and maintenance of agricultural lands and agricultural extension, and after that the communication media to be used was prepared, and the equipment for this study was: sound fllm strip, film, recording, video films, demonstration plots and. a pamphiet.
