Abstract
This study was conducted at Sakha 3xperimental f a r m belonging to the A n i m a l Production Research I n s t i t u t e , Yin istry of Agriculture, during the period from 8-srch 1980 to May 1982. Forty pregnant Friesian cows were chosen and a l l o t e d to similar four groups, according to t h e i r age, weight, m i l k yield of the previous season and number of l a c t a t i o n The a n i m a l s were fed individually according to NRC s t a n d a r d (1978). Coap concentrate mixture was fed i n addition to roughages i n the form of r i c e s t r a w and berseem hay . A summary of the feeding system is given i n the following t a b l e . Level of feeding (expressed as percentage of the t o t a l requirements) during the t o t a l experimental period
