Abstract
Two field experiments were conducted at the Experimental Farm. Faculty of Agriculture, Lafr El-Sheikh, Tanra Cnivers~t); in 1985-86 season and four experiments were carried out at lrai El-Baroud Kesearch Station Agriculture Research Center, Ministry of Agriculture during 1986-87 and 1987-88 to investigate the effect of phosphorous and two growth regulators Gibberellic Acid (GA31 and TIBA i2, 3,,5 Tri-lodo Benzoic Acid) on growth, yield and yield components of faba bean plants. Phosphorous fertilizer was applied as superphosphate at the rates of 0, 2, and 4% . GA3 (Gibberellic Acid) was dissolved in ethyl alcohol and sprayed at the rate of 0. 10, and 20 ppm. While, TIBA ( 2 , 3. 5 Tri-Iodo Benzoic ’Acid) was dissolved in water and sprayed at the rate of 0, 50 and 100 ppm. Gibberellic Acid with phosphorous and TIBA with phosphorous were applied in two separate rrperiments. Superphosphate fertilizer was grounded to a powder form and the suggested rates were suspended in 400 L of water/fed. then sprayed on a washed plants 60 days after planting, until the first DROP from plants to the yrwnd Split plut dcs~gn wlth lour replications was used in both experimenrs
