Abstract

In the present study , sixty six species belonging to 27 genera were collected from the different ten animal food samples . 1 - Twenty five species belonging to ten genera were collected from crushed beans stored at different relative humidity degrees 32.5%, 55%, 76% and 93.5% for the 7, 15, 30,,45,60,75 and 90 days . The genera were Aspergillus (10 species) Penicilliun (7 species) and the following genera each of which was represented by only one species: Rhizopus ,Mucor , Cladosporium, Fusarium , Trichoderma , Alternaria , Acrenzonium and Epicoccum. The most dominant species associated with the crushed beans were : A . Jlavus , A. fumigatus , A. niger, Mucor racemosus, Penicilliun corylophilurn, P. feblutanum and P. frequentans . The maximum fungal counts were recorded at 93.5% RHD after 60 days of storage while the lowest fungal counts were observed at 76% RHD after 45 days . 2 - Twenty nine species belonging to 12 genera were collected from crushed soybeans stored at different relative humidity degrees (32.5% ,55% ,76% , and 93.5%) for 7, 15 ,30 ,45 , 60, 75 and 90 days of storage . The isolated fungal genera were : Aspergill~is (llspecies) , Penicilli~lm (8 species) and the following genera each of which was represented by only one species Mucor, Acremonium , Cladosporiuin , Rhizopus , Epicoccum , Scopulariopsis , Fusarium , Phoma , Trichoderma and Stachybotrys .The most dominant species were : A. candidus , A. jlavus , A. fumigatus , A. niger , A.ochraceous , A. sydowi , Mucor spinescens , P. corylophilum and P. striatum . The maxirnum fungal count was recorded at 93.5% RHD after 75 days while the minimum count was recorded at 55% RHD after 7 days .
