The major objectives of t h i s study are t o identify the d eve1 opment a1 and ext ens ional role of development and a g r i c u l t u r e c r e d i t Bank, and the degree of l o c a l r u r a l leaders1 benefit and awareness of that r o l e TO achieve the study objectives, An interview schedule L- d ferm was developed and pretested to c o l l e c t the data pertained t o the study objectives from r u r a l leader in valleaes that have agricultural coopelrat ion c r e d i t ayst em in Kafr El-Sheikh d i s t r i c t . 157 out of 192. local. rural leaders (the population) were ht erviewed. The researcher could not meet t h e remaintng r u r a l l e a d e r s because of t h e i r absence during data collection perlod. Percentages, averages, simple correlation, and multiple regression techniques were utilized f o r datg analyse.
