Abstract
We investigated the effect of pethidine,valium and droperidol and their combination with either dTc or pancuronium on the rat phrenic nerve-hemiidiaphragm preparation. The experiments of this study were carried out on 200 Wister rats. Both d-tubocurarine and pancuronium were tested in five concentrations. These concentrations were 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.6 ug/ml for dTc and 1, 1.5,3,5 and 8ug/ml for pancuronium. Each concentration of both drugs was tested ten times and dose-response curves were drawn for dTc and pancuronium. The concentrations which produced about 30% depression of twitch (0.4 ug/ml for dTc and 1.5 ug/ml for pancuronium ) were chosen for interaction experiments.
