Abstract
Chemical kinetics is one of the most fascinating, yet one of the most difficult areas in physical chemistry Chemical kinetics as applied to the soil solution miqht be the least investigated and is certainly one of the most enigmatic areas in soil chemistry. However, the aim of the current research problem was to study the fundamental physical and chemical kinetic processes which occur in aqueous colloidal suspensions of some clay minerals. The thesis therefore lies in five chapters The first is an introductory chapter which deals with review on the nature of clay minerals, classification structure. some properties of clay suspensions related to the present work like that, electric double-layer structure flocculation and gelation, peptization, osmotic swelling and ion exchange and general sorption properties Also this chapter includes a general literature review on using clay as catalysts, clay-organic interaction and the origin of life and ion exchange kinetics The second chapter includes a description of conductimetric stopped-flow apparatus which used in this work The third chapter describes the e~perime~taplr ocedures followed in this work.
