Abstract A total of three hundred eighty five of non-pregnant buffaloes were used in this study. Animals were healthy normally cycling, aged from 3 to 12 years, classified into three age groups (3-5 years), (5-8) and (>8 years) and were devided as lactating or non lactating buffaloe-cows. The animals were rectaly examined and the selection was made after finding at least one active ovary. Buffaloes varied in their managments. Animals raised on and/or University Farms) were considered as system ” A ” of management while buffaloes owned by peasants and in Small Farm Holders (under particular economic and environmental conditions), were considered as system ”B” of management. Animals in the first group (System A);heat detection vasectomized was practiceddaily using vasectomized bull while for the second group (system B)heat detection depended on the farmers experiance. |
