Abstract Two sepmate experiments were carl~iedo ut in Paculty of Agriculture Fm at Kafr El-Sheilrh, Tanta University, Egypt during two successive seasons (1980/1981 and 1981/1982) to -investigate the effect of nitrogen f e r t i l i z a t i o n ,foliar spray with a mbture of microe1ernents and stimufol as well as superphosphate on flax growth, yield, yield components and fibequalityo The ff st experiment included twelve treatments which were the combinations of four nitrogen levels (L eo , 30, 45, 60 and 75 kg nitrogen per faddan) and three treatments of microelements (ioeo , cont rol , mixture of rnlcroelemermts and stimufol ) . The second experiment included twelve treatments which were the combbmtioas of the above four nitrogen levels and three superphosphate treatments (ieeo , control, 2% and 4% calcium superphosphate). The mounts of nitrogen were applied before the first irrigation. Flax plants were sprayed with water only as a control, mixture of microelements and stimufol in the fisetx periment o r with water only as a control, 2% and 4% calcim superphosphate in the second experbent theeti mes at 45, 60 and 75 days from pLzuztZmgs |
