Abstract Fibronectin is a high molecular weight glycoprotein present in body fluids and widely distributed throughout extra-cellular matrix.Experimental studies indicated that a relationship exists between fibronectin level and the kidney. It is synthetized by the glomerular cells and therefore the kidney may influence the level of fibronectin in body fluids. The present study was planned to study plasma level of fibronectin and its correlation with the ratio of serum urea to serum creatinine, prealbumin and albumin both in patients with chronic renal failure and patients undergoing periodic haemodialysis. |
