Abstract
Our work started by reviewing the 1iterat.ures. the anatomy of the duodenum, the physiology of the duodenum, the pathology of some duodenal lesions,clinical presentation of duodenal lesions and lastly the radiological presentations of some duodenal lesions.The work aimed to examine the stomach and duodenum in patients with upper abdominal manifestations in order to demonstrate possible lesions in the duodenum related to their complaints and the best radiological techniques for such examination.The material of our work was 50 patients (35 males + 15 females), their ages ranged from 18-70 years.They were suffering from different symptoms,dyspepsia and epigastric pain were the common symptoms. All patients were clinically examined.Abdominal ultrasonography was done followed by double and single contrast barium meal study.
