Abstract

some radioanalysis studies of biomedical samples using the new Compton Suppression Spectrometer (CSS) and Hyper Pure Germanium Detector(HPGe). In faci the number of samples has been determined in this wok were too much, covered most of the life sciences topics, such as, medicine, biology, soil, environmental chemistry .... etc. The conversion of counting rates requires the knowledge rates of th to disintegration e full-energy-peak detection efficiency (+), including gamma :ittcli!:;li iiji.4, which is concerned. In order to determine the EP with high accuracy, the absolute efficiency curves were constructed by three different methods. This work summarizes the levels of some radionuclides in blood, plasma, red blood cell’s, water, milk, foodstuffs, plants, soil and fertilizers samples collected from Tanta city and nearby. The samples were collected during the period from 1993 to 1995, then analyzed for nine selected radionuclides, whereas, the radioactivities of Cs-134, Cs-137, K-40, Co-60,
