Abstract I- The obtained results indicated the existence of the following fungi on maize during 1389 and 1990 growing SedSOnS : - Fusarium moniliforme Sheld. - Penicillium sp. - Aspruqillus niqer Van Ti~ghem - Aspet-qillus f lavus Link - Niqu~spora oryzae F’etrh - BoCryodi plodia theohmme pat, - Fusarium semitectum Eerk. & Hav. Fusarium m~niliforme has proved to be the m o s t prevalent fungus xhich incited the disease followed by Penicillium sp. and Asperqillus spp. On the other band Niqrospot-a aryzea ?& . theobxomae and Fusar ium semitectum were the least frequently distributed fungi. 2- The commercial varieties Giza 2 and composite 5 w e r e the more susceptible comparing with hybrids DC 215 and TWC 310. 7a -. Disease was present in Motobas and Kafr El-Sheikh countiesand with less degree in ~uss&uk, El-Reyad and Beialla. The least records of the disease were found in Sedi-Salem and Glualine. |
