Abstract

Grape acreage, ranks second after citrur in Egypt. The grape cropped area is about 85924 feddans and prodxc-s 395016 tons of grape. Two varieties namely Routui Red and seedless \-Lrte grapes known locally as Banati, predominantly occupy 50% of grape azreage in Egypt. Grapes are moderately salt tolerant and could be grown in soils that are moderately or subject to salinization by irrigatiori or ground waters. This work was carried out in pot experiment at the Experimental Greenhouse of Sakha Agric. Res. Station, Kafr El-Sheikh during the seasons of 1985-1986 and 1986-1987.
