Abstract The development of color doppler flow mapping in the early 1980s reoresented a significant enhancement of the conventional cardiovascular doppler instrumentation that had been used successfully for over a decade. Several methods have been proposed to assess the severity of aortic insufficiency using color Doppler echosardiograplzy. In this study we tried to ducidnte whether the supra-aortic abnormal flow (Proximal acceleration signal, PAS) is related to the severity of aortic regurgitation using color Doppler flow imaging in comparison to other two CDFI teclzniques, aortic root angiography was used as a sold standard for ~rading aortic regurgitation. |
