Abstract
The loss of a child af£er the joyful realization of a pregnancy must bera saddening event for most couples,to do so repeatedly can be a source of the deepest distress which may have long lasting psychological repercussions and even lead to the breakup of the marriage. Tragic though these events can be, they have perhaps received less attention than they deserve, and reliable information about the causes and management of spontaneous and recurrent abortion is often not easy to obtain.
