Abstract The accurate classfflcation and staging of bronchial carcinoma at the thne of presentation is important for both prognostic and therapeutic reasons. Conventional radiography have served well in the initial evaluation of patients with primary lung cancer, however computed tomography (CT) became an essential procedure in the investigation of primary lung cancer.This study was carried out on forty patients with bronchogenic carcinoma. Our patients were thirty-four males and six females with their ages ranged from twentyslx years to eighty years.The aim of our work was to study the value of computed tomography in the preoperative assessment of bronchogenic carcinoma to avoid unnecessary surgery. |
