Abstract The development of Pulmonart hypertension is a complication of mitral stenosis. In msany patients the elevated pulmonary artery pressure is extreme and constitutes the major hemodynamic burden faced by the right ventrical. The chronic pressure overload on the right ventricle, secondary to mitral stenosis can result in right ventricular hypertrophy and right ventricular failure. This study was carried out to describe the right ventricular ejection fraction in patients with mitral stenosis and pulmonary hypertension. |
