Abstract

Double contrastoesophagography was proved to be the optional radiographic examination for detecting small esophageal lesions. It can be applied separately to the oesophagus or incorporated with other radiologic techniques in examining the oesophagus. Double contrastoesophagography is a good screening test for patients with oesophageal symptoms before doing endoscopy. It is easy to perform, non invasive, does not produce discomfort to the patient, and does not need special preparation of the patient.
