Abstract
twenty adult male albino rats were used five as control and f i f t e e n as ex~ermental animal, The expermental anmials subdivided t o two groups ; one group injected whith atropine and the other group subjected to right vagotomy, The animals of both groups nere sacrified after variable periodes Morphological studies were used, no change mre detected, 3 days of atropine injection* Singns of hypertrophy and degenerabign were found after 14 days, and eontinue after that Sreas of f i b r e s i s were appeared after 30 days of injection* 09 the other hand r i g h t vagotomy caused hypertrophy and soue signs of degeneration i n the heerts, 7 days ~Xtero pe r a t ion, The previous changes mere regressed after t h a t till 30 days a f t e r operation the sings were markedly decreased, The comparison of this obtained r e s u l t s enable u s to conclude t h a t , the presence of j~&sct parasympathetic ’innem,ation is necessary for normal myocardial function under different f u n c t i o n a l conditions.
