Abstract Larynpeal cancer comprises 2-5 per cent of all maltpant diseases of the body. Eighty per cent occurs in the average age being 60 years. Tumour incidence in different locations of the larynx var ies , the most lesions occurs in the glottic area. No one factor has been d efinitely proved to produce laryngeal cancer in man. Smoking, excessive alcohol, tobacco, exposure to organic amines, chronic infections irradiatio n and may be hereditary are important factorsin the development of laryngeal cancer. |
