Abstract
This work aimed at studying t h e d i s t r i b u t i o n of -T .spiralis l a r v a e i n d i f f e r e n t muscles of r a t hos t and comparing the immune response i n i t i a t e d by e i t h e r l a r v a l or adult antigens. l’wo s e t s of expesirnenta were c a r r i e d out : 1- Experiments designed t o study the d i s t r i b u t i o n of muscle larvae : Adult male albino rats were infected o r a l l y by 2000 rnuuc le larvae using acid-pepsin d i g e s t ion method .. Larval count was done i n t h e t h r e e chosen muscles (diaphragm-biceps and tongue) . The r e s u l t s were tabulated and s t a t i s t i c a l l y calculated i n r e l a t i o n t o muscle weights. 0 2- Experiments designed to i n v e s t i g a t e t h e irmiunogenic e f f e c t of l a r v a l and adult antigens : A group of rats w a s infected with 2000 larvae f o r preparation of l a r v a l antigen t h i r t y days post-infection.
