Abstract
Hepatorenal syndrome is one of the most serious complication of the liver cirrhosis .The aim of the present study is to estimate serum nitric oxide in patient with hepatorenal syndrome and its role in the pathogensis and diagnosis of the disease.This work was conducted on 35 patients with liver cirrhosis and ?O normal subjects as control .Patients were divided into 3 groups :G 1: 10 patients with liver cirrhosis without ascites.G II: ?O patients with liver cirrhosis with acites.G 111: 15 patients with hepatorenal syndrome .All cases were subjected to *Thorough history taking .*Thorough clinical examination .*complete urine analysis and stool analysis .*Liver function tests: (serum bilirubin , alanine aminotransferase ”ALT” aspertate aminotransferase ”AST”serum alkaline phosphatase , prothrombin activity ).*Abdominal ultrasonography.
