Abstract
The prevalence of sim~~ltai~eous abuse of ketamine and cocaine was recently shown to be high. Therefore pregnant mice were sed to study the teratogenic effect of each alone and in combination. In lietarnine group the pregnant feinales were given 50 mglkg, they yere given 20 mglkg in cocaine group, and the same doses in combined group. In the combined group, lcetainine was given at first followed by cocaine, 30 min later. Control animals were treated with 0.9% saline, all treatments were given intravenously once daily. The treatment was started froin the 6Ih day to the 15”’ day of gestation. The loco~notor avtivity of the treated dam was evaluated through the experiment. On the isth day, the dams were sacrificed and the uterine contents were evacuated, the number of live, dead, and resorped fetuses were determined.
