Abstract During the recent years, ferrites have become a g r e a t interest because of their great importance in industrial. applications as anode materials used in solution electrolysis. Ferrite electrode has low electrical resistivity, high corrosion resistance and high>mechanical strength. Ferrites were cho,sen to possess perovskite structure extensively used in certain electrical devices, magnetic heads and in el-ectronic circuits, since they exhibits fluorescence, ferromagnetism and ferroelectric properties. Doped La-ferrites and Sr-ferrites ceramic bodies were accuratelg’ prepared with solid ceramic and firing technique. The prepared doped La-ferrites and Sr-ferrites bodies were subjected to a careful course of sintering technique to enhance the doping mechanism and to modify the properties of the final obtained refractory bodies. In this respect, the following behaviours can be summarized: 1. X-ray diffraction analysis gave the optimum conditions to produce orthorhombic perovskite structure in a pure state. The addition of different dopant cations in the ferrite series is followed by a gradual decrease in the 28 values and hence an increase in the interplanar spacings ”d-values”. |
