Abstract In the present work, root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne Javanica M . and citrus nematode, Tyienchulus aempengtrana, maintained in the stock culture were identified. The ecological studies on root-knot nematode, M.,1avanica and citrua nematode, M .T. aemipenetrang were performed. The population of M . javanica in ’tomato roots cultivated in sandy clay-loam soil was higher than sandy and clay soils irrigated with flood or trickle irrigation. The optimum mois-ture level for M. javanica reproduction in tomato roots was one field capacity either in flood or in trickle irrigation. The trickle irrigation was more effective in reducing root-knot nematode, M. javanica, population than the flood irrigation in the clay, sandy clay-loam and sandy soils. |
