Abstract In the present work we are concerned with the heterogeneous catalytic decomsosi tion of hydrogen peroxide i n presence of resins in the form of transition metal-ion ammine complexes. The kinetic study of this decomposition reaction was one of Lhe objectives of the present investigation. It was intended to vary the transition me tal-ion and fix the (NH3 ) so tha t the e f f e c t o f the t r ans i t ion metal-ion on the decomposition reaction of H 0 can be elucidated. 2 2 The f i r s t chapter includes a general review on the decomposition of H202 i n homogeneous and he terogeneous patterns. T h i s chapter deals with the aim of investigation and shows the advantages of using resins (in the form of transition me tal-ion mine complexes) i n the decomposition of H202. Chapter I1 deals with the experimental part. It describes the materials i.e. the Dowex-50W resin and the hydrogen peroxide solutions, The kine t i c measurements were also explained, The pH of the reaction medium was in the range of 7.2-8.0, |
