Abstract
the present study was designed to establish somatic hybrids between marked pairs sf isolates sf -P. Infestans. This could bc co-culturing or by protoplast fsuion. Several experiments were induced to get the target. In Che meantime, several confirmatory tests were applied to identify the developing putative somatic hybrids. The steps of these experiments could be summarized as follow : ( 1) -Se lectio-n o f Parental Isolates Fifteen single zoospore isolates of g. infcstans had becn scrccntd to detect their response regarding to drug scnsitivity, mating type, virulence and isozyme patttrn. Pairs of isolatvs wc.re srlected on the ’basis of these marlcrrs.
