Abstract
The present study confirms the earlier findings and also lends upport for the existence of a specific cardiomyopathy associated with iabetes mellitus with an excessive cardiovascular morbidity and rtalIty anaic ctrrr dysfunction is separated from ardial coronary artery disease in diabetic individuals.
Subclinical ‘eft ventricular dysfunction ,which observed to be more ent in non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, hypertensive betics, those with microvascular complications, ercholesterolemic and smokers, may exist for some period of time to the development of symptomatic congestive heart failure. The uency of progression from preclinical to clinically evident cardial dysfunction is not yet established ever, the role of metabolic control, treatment of even mild ertension, treatment of high cholesterol, maintaining the ideal body by diet and physical exercise along with cessation of smoking uld be taken in consideration in primary prevention or reversal or at prevent progression of cardiovascular dysfunction.
