Restoration of anatomy and articular congnuty is crucial to get a good functional result. On the whole the functional results are parallel to the anatomical results.
Early diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue injuries is considered the corner stone in management of fracture distal end radius. Neglection of these soft tissue injuries will lead to bad functional out come even with good anatomical reduction.
Active finger and wrist movement has got many vital functions -Movement ]-s m^i’wf.ay acavafarsuifa^ incases of infra articular fracture.
2-Early movement is very important for fractures close to joints and mtra- articular ones to recover without stiffness. It allows rapid healing of joint capsules and soft tissues without contracture.
Movement will keep a full length of scar tissue if it is termed preventing the formation of a short contracted scar that usually leads to prolonged arrest of movement of the wrist.
3- Early movement will cut the circle of oedema and adhesion formation as it helps to start and potentiate the active pumping mechanism in the hand and forearm muscles washing out any already formed oedema and preventing the formation of any new amounts.
